I wanted to find out how everyone felt about the whole ecb issue at CVS. I was expecting $12 back but only received $6 which would be correct if they were going by the 2%. A lot of people are upset on their facebook fan page but they're telling us there is no issue with the quarterly rewards. Their explanation is that the fall spending amount was doubled and then they multiplied that amount by 2%. I never noticed any doubling on my receipts. I also saw some comments from other customers saying that they were told that the quarterly rewards don't factor in coupons that you use for your purchases. If you got your purchase pretty much free because of a coupon, they're not giving you credit for that purchase. Has anyone else noticed an issue with their quarterly rewards? I'm also noticing that the tracking for the current promotions aren't adding up. Any thoughts/comments on this?

Quarterly bucks are issued based on your spending after all coupons and discounts. Also if you enrolled online and didn't have the cashier scan the coupon that was coming out the redbox it did not enroll you in the program.

Permalink Reply by QQmore on January 2, 2013 at 7:19pm dont be mad just yet.. i only got 50cents on one card and $1.50 on my main card... i have no idea how they are tracking us. It must be after discounts and coupons! in which case,,, ECB are coupons as well... so rolling them didnt work in our favor.
Permalink Reply by karen sanchez on January 2, 2013 at 10:43pm Ok so I'm not the only one with this issue. I got .50 cents on one card and 2.25 on the second mind you my YTD savings on Dec 31st was over $10k one card and over $7k on the other. I gruess when we get things for free or close to it then it doesn't track.

Permalink Reply by CHIcouponer on January 3, 2013 at 5:42pm I didn't get any quarterly rewards this quarter. I called customer service and they told me my returns for this quarter exceeded my quarterly spending. I wouldn't be entitled to any rewards for the quarter.
Permalink Reply by Maggie (M) on January 4, 2013 at 3:44pm Very interesting everyone's experience with this. A few notes from my stance:
-- I signed up both of my cards via online the week before they advertised it. My cashier and the ad scan provided me with the information. I was enrolled because both of my cards showed 4% tracking.
-- On my main card I received back $17.50; which means I would have had to spend $875 dollars this quarter. CLEARLY, I think we can all safely assume I didn't spend that much (more than a months worth of rent and utilities for myself) at CVS.
-- I probably rolled and used coupons = ~$900 this quarter, so it is possible that discounts, coupons, clearance and ecb's were tracking into the 'spending' total.
I know this all seems incredibly wonky to everyone. I would say free money is free money. I never anticipate or expect lots from the quarterly spendings so it was a nice treat for me to get that much. Clearly the system had a hard time with the 4% double bucks, which is a shame. Be nice to see that every quarter from the redbox.
Permalink Reply by red1077 on January 6, 2013 at 12:32am I enrolled online only and every time I logged on to check my account it said now earning double and the amount that it said I had spent was double my actual OOP. I received $11.50 back. My husband $2.50 he card was hardly used. So I guess mine came out right.
Permalink Reply by Vicky Lease on January 6, 2013 at 12:53am I only got $1.50 so I figured it went by the total after coupons but now I'm not sure. I know I haven't shopped in CVS nearly as much as you have Maggie but I would think I might be kinda close. I wonder why the amounts are so far apart. That is strange. I was happy with that though because last quarter I didn't get anything. I thought I must be doing good maybe not. lol
Permalink Reply by Pocahontas on January 8, 2013 at 2:41pm I was SO confused about all of this. From my calculations, I should've gotten .80 in ECB from my spending last qtr [w/the bump to 4%]. I know, not much, but every little bit helps. I ONLY do deals w/Qs, so my OOP is always going to be low.
I called in & was told that I wasn't entitled to any because the minimum they could send was .50, and even with the double rewards, I would've had to spend $50 (after all discounts/Qs) to get a reward.
Now, I'm pretty decent at math, plus I own a calculator,so that's not adding up, but whatevs. Anyway, checked my e-mail last night & I'd magically gotten a 20% off Q (right around the time of my phone call to Cust. Serv.). I never get those.
I'm not tripping. That 20% off is going to save me WAY more than .80 in ECBs would have.
Thanks for the funny math, CVS. You just gave me some money. :-)
Hello everyone and welcome to the Couponlikeaman (CLAM) community! I have designed this site to be just that--a community.
Everyone can make their own page, live chat, post deals in the forums, upload pics, search the best coupon database and generally discuss any and all things couponing.
My hope is that this will become the hub of the coupon world. It should truly be a one stop shop for all things related to finding great deals. No egos here (challenges are ok, personal attacks are not); just a community of like minded people working toward the same goal of getting a lot more for a lot less.
