Permalink Reply by KMP (M) on September 9, 2012 at 4:03pm I decided it would be easy for me to use plastic bags for my misc. stuff in my coupon box. Here are some of the things I did.
Staples, paper clips, peelies, in separate plastic bags.
I did the same for my receipts separating then and dating each bag by the month. (you never know when you might need them for a return or a rebate. Save all your receipts!)
Also I made a plastic bag for the store coupons/ coupon books that I get separating them by store.
Permalink Reply by KMP (M) on September 9, 2012 at 4:13pm Then I filed my coupon inserts by date and also by whether it was a P&G, SS, or RP.
One thing I also did is to create a few separate files that I place in front for things such as...
Printable coupons
Target Printables
Loose coupons that I may use in the near future
Misc coupons that I might have
These will have a gallon sized plastic bag on their own..lol
These are the two coupon holders I use in the stores.
One is for drug stores and the other is for grocery stores.
I look in the coupon database before I go shopping to find what insert all of my coupons that I need are in, cut them and put them in these..
Permalink Reply by stacyi on September 10, 2012 at 6:37am nice and very organize! I do almost the same thing too. I keep a filer basket/crate with the folders. Before my inserts get file, i tear pages in half, staple same like pages to each other, and write the date and insert (ie RP 9/9) at the very top. I then file them by inserts and date in each folder. This is pretty convince for me because when i need a q all i have to do is find the insert date and clip all the like q at once (because they are already staple together).
For my rewards, peelies, tear pads, misc q i keep them in a small filer folder as like the ones you have. This folder stay in my purse. All the stores have their own envelope with their rewards, store q, and etc.. that is specific to that store. The envelopes get file in a little dollar tree photo album where I keep all my store q policy.
whenever i go couponing, I have my photo album, small filer folder in my purse, and my basket of uncut inserts in my trunk just in case i might need a q.

Permalink Reply by Maggie (M) on September 10, 2012 at 5:20pm I file away my inserts as a whole as well. The only difference I make with mine is I separate each insert and then combine them back together so that all of the 'page 1' is sitting on top of each other. Makes it easy to not have to flip through 10 inserts to the same page each time. I just flip to their individual page bundle and go from there.
Permalink Reply by KMP (M) on September 10, 2012 at 9:49pm Yes Staci I forgot to mention I do sort and staple all my coupon inserts also. That is a great idea. I think it saves so much time!

Permalink Reply by Vicky Lease on September 11, 2012 at 10:38am I cut 6 sets and file them in a binder. I separtate each page then cut them together. I want to stop cutting them but I think for me any way that if I take the time to cut them once it is a lot easier/faster to get ready to go to the store. The rest I file in a pile by the date. When I need more then the 6 that I already cut I know where to find them.
Permalink Reply by KMP (M) on September 11, 2012 at 10:47am Vicky that's not a bad idea. Thanks for sharing. It has been interesting seeing what methods everyone is using! :D

Permalink Reply by MomsthatQ on September 17, 2012 at 8:36am I find that the "envelope system" works best for me b/c I had a hard time locating the Q's I needed for each store. I write down the name of each store & date in which I will need the Q's on envelope. I also write down items to look for & notes on envelope. When I'm done I throw envelope away & start over for the following week or the next deal. I put all of my store envelopes in a clear pencil case (shown in pic). I also put all my receipts in the pencil case & when I get home I save all receipts in a clear plastic bin.

I do have a binder in which I keep my whole inserts w/ dates written on front. I keep dates together in one sheet protector in the back of biinder. I also clip Q's immediately if I know that I will need them soon & file in binder or in envelope of store I will use at. I also keep rebates in a section in back of binder. I don't bring binder in store but I keep it in my car.
Hello everyone and welcome to the Couponlikeaman (CLAM) community! I have designed this site to be just that--a community.
Everyone can make their own page, live chat, post deals in the forums, upload pics, search the best coupon database and generally discuss any and all things couponing.
My hope is that this will become the hub of the coupon world. It should truly be a one stop shop for all things related to finding great deals. No egos here (challenges are ok, personal attacks are not); just a community of like minded people working toward the same goal of getting a lot more for a lot less.
