Here's what Rite Aid is switching to. There will still be UPs for certain things but this is going to completely suck. Read it and weep. Rite Aid article
I think completely sucks about sums it up.
Sounds like a bad move for Rite Aid. If 80% of their sales comes from the up reward program why change it? Good new in this article is that CVS and Walgreens can't switch to this.
vicky I think that too
yep sucks royally
Darn yep the closest exxon to me in an hour away..not good
What I am wondering is if the point system will be like Wags. If you spend points, you can't earn points. If that is the case, and most likely it is, then we're screwed. If that's not the case, then what they have basically done is made the Ups card specific. A little more difficult, there will have to be much more planning of transactions, but not impossible. I just wish we knew. Rite Aid does have some limited info about the new program on their website.
I have one Exxon station a few blocks from me and it is usually the cheapest place in town to buy gas, but the state next door to me where I work has cheaper gas, so I don't buy it from there. None of the other businesses are particularly exciting to me, don't do Macy's or ATT or Nationwide Insurance, never heard of the utility company and Hulu over Netflix, not a chance in hell.
I just want my questions answered so I know whether to keep paying for inserts and do my shopping at RA.
So incredibly frustrated!!!
According to at least one rep on rite aid live chat, we should still earn points when redeeming points. I guess we won't know for sure until May.
still sounds like a steaming pile of suck to me! I hope they prove me wrong.
