So, I haven't been to CVS in a few months--not because the deals aren't good, but because where I am staying over summer doesn't have one :/ However, I'm going out of town next Sunday (7/29) . Here's my plan!

I'm splitting into 4 transactions. This will avoid P&G restrictions and fussy cashiers who don't like to ring more than one $4/$20

Trans 1

(4) Head & Shoulders @ $4.99 ea. = $19.96

(4) Suave deodorant @ $1 ea. = $4

Subtotal= $23.96

(1) $4 off $20 CVS Q

(2) BOGO Head & Shoulders Jul P&G(assuming they only take off $4.99)= -$9.98

(2) $1/1 Head & Shoulders 7/29 P&G = -$2

(4) $0.75/1 Suave deodorant 7/29 P&G = -$3

Pay $4.98 OOP + tax

Trans 2

Repeat Transaction 1

Pay $4.98 OOP + tax receive $5 ECB

Running cost= $9.96 + tax OOP $5 ECB (net pay $4.96 before tax)

Trans 3

(2) Olay Cleansers @ $3.74 ea = $7.48

(2) Olay Body Wash @ $5.99 ea= $16.98

(4) Suave deodorant @ $1 = 4

Subtotal= $28.46

(1) $4 off $20 CVS Q

(2) Buy one cleanser get one body wash free Olay 7/29 P&G

(1) $3/2 Olay Q July P&G

(4) $0.75/1 Suave deodorant Q

Pay $1.48 + tax, get back a $4 ECB ($2.52 net gain)

Running cost=  $8.40 OOP + tax  $9 ECB ($0.60 net gain before tax)

Trans 4

(2) Accucheck Glucose meters @ $9.99 ea = $19.98

(1) Gallon milk @ 3.89

Subtotal = $23.87

(2) $10.00/1 Accucheck meter 7/29 RP

(1) $4 off $20 CVS Q

Pay $0 OOP get back $1 ECB for milk AND $1 ECB for green card

Running cost = $8.40 OOP + tax  $11 ECB ($2.60 net gain before tax)

*note, if you break the suave into their own transactions, you can potentially get an extra $1 ECB for your green tag

I read on slickdeals that the H&H coupon has been flagged by CVS via email to the stores, letting them know to adjust down the coupon. Some stores pay attention to those type of emails and some don't. Just wanted you to be aware of the possibility of you not getting the full amount deducted.

Yeah. I'm not banking on them taking off the full $9.49

Wait  - how is your first two transactions subtotal 98 cents after coupons? I'm doing the math and getting $4.98?

Oops! I was originally going to do the H&S in one big transaction. I must've made a mistake when breaking them up. Thanks for catching that. I'll change the post to match.

I think that should be correct, now. Thanks, Tabetha

Comment by westley on July 25, 2012 at 10:56pm

Comment by Desiree L. on July 25, 2012 at 11:08pm

no really, i have it right here, it says one per customer....the cashier probably wont read it but we should probably use them one at a time so the store will get reimbursed

Comment by westley on July 26, 2012 at 12:36am

thats what I said one per transaction! the store will get reimbursed for it because you are ringing it up 1 at a time.
